So get ready to blast off in a rocket fuelled Starfield performance preview. We also compare the improvements over the previous showing, enhancements within the engine, and much more. The biggest question after the show(s) was: why is it 30fps on Xbox Series X and Series S and not 60fps? In this IGN Performance preview, we dive into the details shared by the team, the revealed PC minimum and recommended specifications, and how the Creation Engine 2 works, comparing the previous games to gauge some of the potential reasons why the team might have chosen 30fps. With Starfield being the center of the Xbox 2023 Showcase last week, Bethesda gave us a deep dive into one of the biggest games this generation. Before you know it, the enemy will be finished. Rely on ranged or use its charge attack to your advantage, stunning it and unleashing some powerful shots. That takes a bit of his armour off, though not very much. Look for the gas tanks and throw them at him after you've hit them. Known as a Seething Demolisher, this amped-up version of the standard demolisher doesn't bring any new tricks to the table, although it packs a mightier punch.Īs such, the same battle strategies apply. It takes quite a while of beating him up with the machete until the armour starts to fall of him, and only then will you start to see some real damage being dealt. ![]() Keep doing this to gain a large supply of Infected Trophies and other valuable items.ĭuring the side quest The Baba, you'll come face to face with a new, much deadlier type of demolisher. If you want to farm demolishers, you'll have to roam around the city until you see a tan coloured infected icon labelled "defeat" (as pictured above). Unique Infected Trophies and other valuables can be earned from taking down demolishers, making them useful prey to hunt. Taking down demolishers isn't easy, but if you do manage to defeat these gargantuan beasts, you'll be handsomely rewarded. Meanwhile, standing at a decent vantage point and launching arrows is a smart way to bring it down. If you get it to charge at you, you can quickly dodge out the way, forcing the demolisher to collide with a wall and giving you ample time to attack. Baiting the charge attack or dodging rocks while hitting it with arrows are the two best strategies. For the best chance of survival, you'll have to pick which of its attacks is easiest to dodge. In short, there's no neat way to take down the demolisher. If you close in and try to land attacks from the inside of the demolisher's defence, it'll pound the ground, launching you back. Meanwhile, if you keep your distance, they'll throw debris and bodies at you from afar. They'll charge you from long distances, dealing significant damage if they connect. While you may be used to the goon's slow, plodding attack speed, demolishers won't be nearly as kind. You'll mostly find them during story or side quest encounters, although they'll also show up in the open world during special random encounters. These hulking abominations can be spotted from miles away thanks to their giant size, glowing boils and unnatural speed. Hard enemies take a lot more damage.Much like goons, it's safe to say demolishers stand out. I just used both propane tanks on him, both landed right on top of him pretty much, barely got him down to 60% or so. Repeat this about 10 times and he is dead. You then want to jump down and use a power swing at the same time thereby hitting him. ![]() The demolisher will follow you and remain at the bottom. This will reduce his life to 60%.įrom this point forward, you want to use a heavy rebar from one of the broken concrete columns in the arena. Hit him directly with one propane tank - it explodes upon impact so be careful. Each tank is on top of a seperate cargo trailer. Refresh your camo as necessary until you have killed all of the speed runners and regular zombies. You want to be "unseen" right after you hit him with the second tank so that you can sneak up on one of the speed running zombies and kill it. The reason for the camo is b/c as soon as you hit him directly with the second propane tank, which will reduce his life to 10%, the speed running zombies are unleashed. ![]() This will reduce his life to 60%.īefore hitting him directly with the second tank, you need to kill a zombie and then camouflage yourself. ![]() There are two small propane tanks in the arena.
